Queen Latifah Wants Chris Brown To Be Forgiven

Queen Latifah Wants Chris Brown To Be Forgiven – Plenty of celebrities are finally starting to speak out about Chris Brown. The entire world has held resentment against him and his character since what happened with Rihanna. Chris Brown was sentenced to 5 years of probation and a couple hundred hours of community service. Some say that was justice served in itself but others are not satisfied and say Chris Brown should lose his opportunity in music forever. However, the majority of celebrities speaking out about the matter says that Chris Brown deserves a second chance and should be forgiven. Judging by Queen Latifah’s latest statements she feels the same way.

She ended her duty of hosting after finishing up the 10th annual BET Awards. Part of the events at the Awards have sparked up a lot of controversy though and it was welcoming that Queen Latifah was able to speak out on the matter.

“I thought Chris Brown’s performance was amazing, just amazing. Not only was it a knockout performance, but his heartfelt emotion, you can’t plan that, you can’t write that, it’s the truth.”

Chris is yet to release his own comments about what happened and provide insight as to whether the tears were real. However, from the looks of his performance it would be hard to justify claims that they were not. Chris did an amazing job and what happened on stage during his “Man in the Mirror” tribute couldn’t have been planned. His emotion clearly overtook him while performing.

“He needs to be forgiven. Enough already. We can’t keep beating him up. She’s going to grow and he’s going to grow and we have to allow them both to do that.”

Do you think Queen Latifah’s comments were well said or do you see the matter differently?

Agree 1000% with the Queen, leave the judgement to God, we are all imperfect, have done some stuff, and to everybody their doings is not as bad as the other person but wrong no matter how small or large is wrong and we all deserve forgiveness and not condemnation and damnation. Leave the young man alone and focus on your owm issues as we all have some.

    2. Andrea says:

I definitely think that Chris Brown should be forgiven. He made a terrible mistake, but he was young and perhaps foolish. He’s paid the price for what he did. He has gone to counseling, done community service and lost his livelihood for over a year. Should he forever pay for one mistake? Who of us has never made a mistake in life? Rihanna has moved on and we should also.

    3. Tracie says:

TOTALLY agree with Queen….enough already. I don’t care about the tears it’s just time! His talent is incomparable and I for one want to see more…more Chris Brown!

    4. Denise says:

I think everybody should forgive chris brown and I think it really was not our business of what was going on between them because before this even happened everybody was in love with chris brown and half of the world even knew who she was.

    5. KITTY says:

YES! SHE SAID IT IN A WAY THAT WAS OBJECTIVE AND JUST PURELY UNDERSTANDING AND CARING…. ALOT OF PEOPEL COULD KEARN FORM HER AND ALL THE OTHER CELEBS WHO HAVE SPOKEN ABOUT CHRIS BEING SO HEARTFELT AND SINCERE AND ABOUT THE NECESSITY OF OUR SOCIETY TO FORGIVE AND STOP HURTING HIM BY BASHING HIM SLANDERING HIM AND BLACK BALLING HIM… ENOUGH ALREADY YALL JUST NEED TO STOP… ITS PASSED THE POITN OF MAKING YOU ALL LOOK LIKE CRUEL EVIL INDIVIDUALS JUST BITE UR TOUNGUE AND PRAY FOR YOUR OWN REDEMPTION…BECUASE IF U CANT FORGIVE OTHERS. WHY SHOULD GOD FORGIVE YOU?? and on top of that… its not your business to forgive him! the matter happenned between Chris and Rihanna GOD IS THE ONLY OTHER PERSON WHO KNOWS WHAT HAPPENNED AND WHO IS CAPABLE TO JUDGE ANYONE EVER.

    6. Simone says:

i personally agree with Queen, it’s about time we forgave him , he’s nt the first celeb to beat on a woman and he wont be the last. every celeb that comits this , would we condemn? i hope not , because he deserves to be forgotten ………………….

    7. Simone says:

      i mean FORGIVEN

    8. Gabby says:

I feel everything the Queen feels and I think Chris should have been forgiven a long time ago great performance it was actually the best performance of the night and those were real tears

    9. Valley Girl says:

Well said. Queen Latifah has been in the business for a long time and has seen and heard a lot. We all make mistakes and just as God forgives, we should forgive and let it go.

    10. Angie says:

Queen L said the perfect words regarding Chris Brown!!. Everyone does mistakes and its up to us to learn from them…I know with time Chris Brown will learn and appreciate the second chance that has been given to him…Chris Brown keep doing you thing…”Sing ur heart out to all of ur fans”

    11. KandyBrown says:

Queen L is a powerfll women, and im glad that she spoke out about the issue , not only is she telling the public what she thinks but shes also giving Chris Brown encouragement to not stop & to keep going(:

i have to say this is probably the 1st article regarding the Chris Brown & Rihanna situation , that DOESN’t insult Chris Brown. Thankyou!

    12. jaye says:

He who is without sin …cast the first stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

    13. Blacks says:

People we think negative all the time, for Goodness sake we make mad mistake,Chris had is moment, this is a very emotional for him,MJ just die ,and anyone of us have to perform in place this would happen, people just stop being haters,God said love the haters chris, they are out there,so don’t take them on u have nothing to explain to this world for crying, please.leave this along. We love evil so much we have to take the good and turn it into evil, why,Chris u do what u do best.

    14. jaye says:

While there were only two in the car when said incident occurred….it appears that the entire world feels that they should have a say-so. In situations involving domestic violence how do you expect the generational curse to be broken if you don’t allow for change. Please allow this young brother to go on with his life and talent (as Rhianna has been allowed to do so). The blessing in this storm is that he has acknowledged to public and Rhianna his sorrow for this incident. I am a strong believer that only “GOD” should be his judge and that we should reach out to him as so many have to Rhianna and help him to be a better CHRIS BROWN.

    15. April says:

I’m not sure why he was so “resented” in the first place! “He who is without sin, cast the first stone!” I am so tired of these hypocrites that are so ready to condemn others when they have several skeletons in the closet themselves. I’m not condoning or making excuses for what Chris did, but seriously, was it really worth his career being destroyed over? A career that he has worked his whole life to build? Come on people, seriously! The man has REAL TALENT! He’s a triple threat, he can sing, dance, and act. I never believed that Rihanna was so innocent in what transpired. It’s just unforunate that Chris had no self-control. The man needs prayer and counseling, not banishment from the entertainment industry. All of these “celebrities” such as Opray, Jay Z (yeah, I said it), who came out against him, need to check themselves! I’m so sick of sanctimonious people. No one person is perfect, it’s just that Chris’ imperfections were out there for the whole world to see. Queen Latifah’s comments were right on the money, but where was she last year when all this began? It’s so ironic, that Chris’ BET tribute to Michael Jackson (which they should’ve allowed him to do last year) could’ve possibly sparked his comeback, when Michael himself was a man who was condemned, damn near banished, because of his “alledged” inappropriateness with young boys. All of these “celebrities’ now, after the fact, after his death, have come out in support of Michael to secure his legacy. Where were these same people when he really needed them? Hypocrites! Chris Brown, you have TRUE fans out there, who will not let your name, nor your music die! Keep doing what you do. My 18 year old daughter is a HUGE fan, and so am I! We love you!

    16. Princess Wilson says:

I said that he should be forgiven right when he beat Rihanna! Everyone makes mistakes! No one can judge anybody because everyone has done wrong. I freaking love chris brown! & every fake fan that left just because he made an awful mistake, forget yall! Chris brown is the truth, & all his emotions were shown through his tears on the 10th annual bet awards! Chris has seen what he has done as bad, & he’s ready for the world to put it behind them & him….can’t hold on to it forever! Some things have to be left behind! -princess, chris browns future wifey & #1 fan!(=

    17. Coco says:

I agree with the queen.. I have forgiven Chris SOOOO long ago! I love Chris Brown!!

    18. "FORGIVENHA" says:

Queen L says “forgiven” well lets have some guy beat the living crap out of her and then see how she feels. I doubt the word “forgiven would come to mind” for all you saying let god decide and that he should be forgiven, pleaseeeee like i just said let me come over and beat the crap out of you and then we will see if I should be forgiven. just cause the guy goes on stage and cries during a MJ tribute and Queen L says he should be forgiven your all getting worked up and actually agreeing with this crap. the only one who can actually forgive Chris Brown is Rijiana, so stop protecting this guy.

    19. La-Tracshia says:

I agree with the queen. We all make mistakes and learn from it. Chris learned from his mistakes. So LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!!!!! Let him live his life without being criticize.

    20. Chrissypooh83 says:

Chris should be forgiven . Bobby beat whitney no problem. Tommy lee whiped pam anderson sure wasnt a big idea banded anyone, theres two sides to every story. He needs a second chance. Two wrongs dont make a right.

    21. treshon says:

Keep hittting him in his pocket a little bit longer and he will get the message. I like the Queen but she’s just trying to come off righteous. Let’s keep it real we need to forgive but the greater the price the more likely he will KEEP HIS DAMN HAND OFF ANOTHER WOMAN.

    22. Keith says:

anyone who can watch his performance and think its fake clearly has a bad sense of judgement. yeah he did do something incredibly stupid with the rihanna situation, but people deserve second chances, am i wrong? everyone makes mistakes at some point and time in their life and sometimes the public forgets that these celebs are people, just like you and i. Even though he made a bad decision, he’s still a good kid with a good heart. He idolized Michael Jackson before and after he passed, so the fact that he had so much emotion in his performance does not amaze me, everyone loved mj. 12 people killed themselves over him. Chris earned a lot of respect from me with this performance and seeing that rihanna wanted to talk to him, and maybe forgive him, why cant we??

    23. Shaina Xiong says:

Queen L is right. Forgive is what everybody should do. It’s just like in everyday life, but people seems to make celebrities problem much bigger. These thing happens everyday, but we just don’t know and those people were still forgiven. Chris Brown should be forgiven. Even if he had done the word thing, he’s trying to make it out of his best. For the people who has been thinking negatively, they should think about what being in his position. How tortured he’s feeling by all the rude comments he’s getting because all you guys hear are from radios and news. We weren’t actually there to see, but to hear from outsiders. Chris Brown should be forgiven. He’s a great singer. He sings out from his heart. – shainaxiong.

    24. destinie says:

i forgave chris brown a long tyme ago becuz all dhs stuff is nt adding up i mean dere is a nother part to wat happen between him and riahanna I THINK SHE LIED ON HIM BECUZ SHE FELT THT SHE WANTED HIM FOR HERSELF SHE DIDNT WANT HIM TO TALK OR SEEE OTHER PPL IF DATS DA CASE BUT {I LOVE CHRIS BROWN SOOOOOOOOOOO VERYY MUCH HE INSPIRED MEH TO BE A SINGER AS MI SELF}HIS BIGGEST FAN!!!!!!!!!!~~~

    25. India G. says:

Well i think the world should mind their own buisness and leave Chris alone. I mean this isn’t the first time Domestic Violence has happen in the world, but when famous person beat on their woman or man it’s just horrible but when a normal man or woman commits Domestic Violence it’s doesn’t really get notice like it would with a famous person. I have been done forgave Chris and i wish him best of luck with the rest of his career and he did good in the movies takers. Good job Chris
