Nicki Minaj on #1 Hit Your Love – Nicki Minaj has been desperately trying to make a name for herself in the music industry. Her new debut single is sure to spark some conversation and create some noise around her name. With Alex Da Kid as the producer and guest appearances from Eminem and B.o.B on the song and a hook sung by Sean Garret “Massive Attack” had the big names behind it but it didn’t get half the recognition that her #1 hit song, “Your Love” received.

It was something that she planned to sit on, not entirely sure if she was even going to release it. However, when it leaked on the Internet Nicki Minaj was quickly one of the first solo female hip-hop artists to get on the #1 spot in the Billboard’s rap chart.
“I was not planning on putting the song out at all. But then I heard it one day, somebody told me it was online. And I was like, ‘No way, no way in the world that song is out.’ I went and listened to it and was really upset. It wasn’t mixed, it wasn’t furnished, it wasn’t anything. I wasn’t gonna use it at all. But then the radio started playing it.
Shortly after the song skyrocketed on the hot sellers list and went all the way to number 1. The last time we saw a woman was at the top of the charts was Missy Elliot with “Work it.”

“Isn’t that crazy? Crazy. I don’t even know how it feels to have a number one hit right now. But it’s amazing.”
Now Nicki will have a name behind herself as she prepares to release her next album which should be out by the end of this year.
