Lil Wayne Knockout Ft. Nicki Minaj – Wayne is able to release videos even while in prison. Reports claimed that before he went in claimed that the rapper had recorded over ten music videos taht would be released while he was in prison. Recently two of those videos appeared on MTV Jams. One song, “Knockout,” has received a large amount of media attention. The song features Nicki Minaj, an artist that is signed to Lil Wayne’s music label, Young Money Entertainment. While most of the videos were quickly shot and did not have a big budget (some of them were reportedly shot in one take) they do go through a significant editing process to ensure that it is of high quality.

The song features a number of rockers including the popular group Mayday. The video looks a lot like the visuals that were used in previous Lil Wayne videos. Both videos were shot using a green screen and feature brightly colored visuals that keep the watcher interested throughout the video.
Nicki Minaj shares her vocals throughout the track and also raps nearly the end of the track.
“He did like, 1,000 videos before he went in, knowing that he had to go to jail. A lot of us wouldn’t do that. A lot of us would be curled up in a ball.” said Nicki Minaj during Spring Break with MTV.
Nicki Minaj had never previously sung on a record but does sing in the new Lil Wayne song. Lil’ Wayne has always talked about being a rock star, and his newest video certainly appears to be taking him in that direction and away from his traditional rap music.
