Lady Gaga May be Writing the New James Bond Theme
Lady Gaga is reportedly in negotiations to write and sing the next James Bond film theme song.
Film bosses are said to be eager to land the “Poker Face” hitmaker to pen and perform the lead track for the forthcoming 007 movie, which will be directed by Sam Mendes.
The attention-grabbing pop star will follow in the footsteps of Madonna, Alicia Keys and Tom Jones who have performed the title track on previous movies in the British spy franchise.
Studio executives are expected to ask the 24-year-old singer to write and record a song for consideration in the next few weeks, according to Stuff.co.nz.
“Bond bosses are all huge Gaga fans,” a source told British newspaper The Sun. “Her sound and sense of drama make her the top choice. Gaga has the look as well as the voice to tackle a thundering ballad. She’s a great songwriter too. This is perfect on every level.”
Michael Buble is also in the running and expected to submit a demo tape, with studio executives choosing the best song to be included in the movie.
Gaga, real name Stefani Germanotta, recently admitted she hates having to share the spotlight.
“I don’t want anybody to have the spotlight but me,” she said. “Don’t share. I write all my music. I write everything. I am a woman and I am blonde – it is what it is.”
“I am focused on the work. I am constantly creating. I am a busy girl. I live and breathe my work. I love what I do. I believe in the message. There’s no stopping. I didn’t create the fame, the fame created me,” Gaga continued. “I want my fans to know I’m there for them. I want them to see every part of me. I am never going to leave them.”

I love the fact that Gaga is so honest…its beats these other performers who act as though they are so nice and don’t mind sharing they’re spot light….come on ppl, who goes to Hollywood to be an A list star only to constantly share the spotlight with others? I don’t blame Gaga…she should write her own music and stamp her name on things that she does, that way she can get the credit for it. I wish Beyonce would be more honest and open instead of trying to please everybody and make it seem as though she wants everybody to be a star. I have heard her say that Ri-Ri is “very talented” when we all know that she isn’t. Ri-Ri has an ok voice and she does not put on great live shows…so where Bey see’s this talent in Ri-Ri is beyond me. For crying out loud, Beyonce also wore a knee length tee shirt with Ri-Ri’s last album cover on the front of it. I don’t know if Bey does all this praising b/c she wants to be liked, but she need to stop it….just stop it with the lies and kissing up. She is too big of a star to go that route. Thank goodness there is finally a star who doesn’t mind being herself and speaking her mind and saying the hell with sharing her spot light with anyone else. WAY TO GO GAGA
