-Advertisements-A divorce and cancelled TV show hasn’t slowed down reality star Kate Gosselin, as the 34-year-old mom of eight was on hand Saturday at the Women’s Expo in South Bend, Ind. sporting newly blonde tresses.
While speaking, Gosselin made sure to ask expo attendees for their support on her new television venture. She urged the crowd to vote for her when she makes her debut on “Dancing With the Stars,” which kicks off March 22.
“I’m dancing every day,” she said. “It is so out of the ordinary for me. I am counting on your votes, by the way. I don’t even care if I dance horribly. I need them. I need all the help I can get!”

Despite reports by Us Weekly that the Gosselin clan is discontent with mommy being gone regularly; balancing both work and motherhood doesn’t seem to be a problem for Gosselin. She insists all of her children are “happy and thriving and we’re working together while we figure out the new normal. While they’re in school, I’m working hard as a mom and a working and traveling mom. Balancing both – it’s very difficult. They are turning ten and six this year,” she added. “How old do I feel?”
While being a good mother is her top priority, she doesn’t take her work lightly either, and is reportedly putting in extra hours training for “Dancing With the Stars.”
“I am often up 20 of the 24 hours of the day,” says Gosselin. “My personality kicked in,” she explains. “I’ve gotta kill this, which is what I do.”
