I believe the album cover to be a blatant statement about what happens to those to 'break the rules' and refuse to listen to their 'handlers'. So what I'm thinking is, in the past we all know he thought he was the king, that this shows that he was "slayed" by the people while he was "king" and now this album his rebirth.
