Kanye West Power Album Cover – The first single from Kanye West’s new album, “Power,” recently leaked onto the Internet. Following the leak, Kanye decided to run with it and performed his new hit at the 2010 BET Awards. Today, he unveiled the artwork for his new song. Kanye is known for having outrageously artistic artwork on his albums and single covers, but his latest piece of artwork that will accompany his single takes the cake.
The picture was painted by George Condo, a famous artist from the Chicago area. The painting shows the sword Excalibur from many different stories, stuck into the head of a face that appears to be Kanye West’s. The head is also wearing a crown. Behind the sword and face are clouds and sky for as far as the eye can see. Early reports said that the album would have a flavor that was more similar to his earlier albums, and would feature a boom-bap sound with a heavy 90s flavor.
The new cover is interesting, and likely has a good deal of symbolism behind it. It would be interesting to hear what West has to say about the meaning over the cover.
It is obvious that Kanye would like everyone to assume that the head on the cover is his own, and that he must think that he is some kind of king, judging by the crown that the head is wearing on the cover. However, Kanye is known for being cryptic in his covers, and the cover may actually have an entirely different meaning altogether.

I believe the album cover is a symbol if his return, say of like a phoenix. The public criticized him for all his antics such as the MTV awards, his auto-tune album not really catching on with the public, and how the public doesn’t really care for his attitude or ego. So what I’m thinking is, in the past we all know he thought he was the king, that this shows that he was “slayed” by the people while he was “king” and now this album his rebirth. I don’t know, just my two cents.

He’s reached one of the highest degrees and isn’t afraid to reveal it (through symbolism, anyway). “Power” was ridiculous, both the lines/video/artwork are sending out a clear message, and should tell you ll you need to know about the Zionist music industry. Every artist of our time has also been initiated including Soulja Boy, the entire Young Money crew, Lady Gaga (unbelievable amount of symbolism in ALL her videos, checkout Alejandro/Bad Romance for the most obvious), Jay Z (old news, of course), Rhianna etc etc etc. But keep in mind these artists are merely puppets for the higher-ups to mislead/indoctrinate and have you change your views on things. The album cover is inspired by famed artist Basquiat. In one of Basquiats paintings, he includes the words “Young kings lose their heads”. The artist, in a creative way, created the cover to illustrate what Basquiat was saying.
