Irv Gotti:Nicki Minaj Is Just As Talented As Lauryn Hill – We are sure the following comments will not sit well with Lauryn Hill’s fans but Murder INC’s Irv Gotti who has a habit of sharing his thoughts with the world recently did an interview with VIBE where he was brave enough to compare Nicki Minaj to Lauryn Hill.
Gotti who thinks that the two ladies are equally talented said:
“The world has yet to see the best of Nicki Minaj. What she’s delivering to the world now is basically what they want. But I know that she’s a super talented superstar who can do anything at a high level—rap, sing, act, whatever she wants to do. This is just the beginning of Nicki Minaj. Her best is yet to come.
In my opinion she is as talented as my other girl Lauryn Hill. They have completely different styles. But as far as the talent is concerned they both can do it all. Nicki just isn’t showing it yet ’cause she doesn’t want to. But world be prepared ’cause she’s the truth!”
Gotti is a record CEO, so he must know something about music, but how can you compare a newcomer who has not even released a CD as a yet to a woman who picked up five Grammy Awards the same night?
Minaj might be talented but we should let her prove it with her debut CD before we start throwing Hill under the bus. Minaj needs to start adding some substance to her lyrics before the comparison with the “Forgive Them Father” rapper can even begin.

Lauryn Hill fell off after the 90′s ended because of drugs and inconsistent behavior. Hopefully Nicki can match Missy Elliot in longevity and hitmaking consistency.
I don’t care what hes seen because there is no way in hell she is AS TALENTED. First and foremost lyrically never Lauryn Hill is to educated an you may say will how you know Nicki isn’t, someone as educated as Lauryn Hill would never do what Nicki does point blank period.

Guys Guys no need to get angry, obviously he sees in her what he saw in Ashanti, Charlie Baltimore, and Ja Rule…..Not one of these artist made it past a 5 year mark. Lauryn Hill is a Legend, Nicki Minaj is a hyped up passing fad. I give her 6 more months before she becomes irrelevant.
