Eminem Not Afraid Music Video – The video for Eminem’s latest single, “Not Afraid,” taken from his upcoming “Recovery” album, premiered online. The song quickly climbed to the top of the charts and the music video has garnered a lot of attention since it leaked online. Eminem has made it clear that his newest album will not be like any of his previous efforts, and has said that he believes his newest effort will be considered better than his previous, “Relapse,” which was met by an average critical reaction.
The video is very impressive, and features Eminem walking through a city, essentially discovering himself as he looks in mirrors. He is pictured several times throughout the video to be standing over a cliff looking down, seemingly contemplating jumping. When he finally does jump off of one cliff, he almost falls to the bottom before he flies back up to the top and begins to fly around the city. It seems to be another superhero metaphor, or at least a metaphor for how he was able to drag himself out of his situation and make the most out of it that he could.
This is not the same Slim Shady that we saw on Relapse. This Slim is deeper, older, smarter and is much more reflective. Eminem has hinted that the album will likely have much deeper content than his previous works which featured many songs in his older style of shock, gore rap. Days ago, a song featuring Pink from his upcoming album also leaked.
