Eminem Love the Way You Lie:No. 1 on Hot 100 Chart – Eminem and Rihanna have been able to stay put at the number one spot on the pop charts with their newest single, “Love The Way You Lie.” This is the fifth week that the song will remain at the top of the charts, and the song has been fueled by the release of the music video for the song. Taio Cruz’s “Dynamite” stayed at the number two position, and Katy Perry currently has two singles in the top five.
The song has garnered a lot of attention because it describes an abusive relationship which Rihanna had famously had with Chris Brown.
The two had gotten into an argument while driving, and Brown had beaten Rihanna, punching her in the face after she threw the keys to the car out the window.
Brown has seen resurgence in his career as well after giving an emotionally driven BET Awards performance that was a tribute to Michael Jackson. It will be interesting to see how long the Eminem and Rihanna collaboration, “Love the Way You Lie,” will be able to stay at the top of the charts. Eminem has graced the top of the charts before, but he rarely makes an appearance on the pop charts.
His new album, “Recovery” has a number of other songs that are currently lined up as potential singles for the future.
