Foxy Brown is pushing for a lawsuit to get herself out of jail. LOL, not so hood. The Post reports that Inga filed a lawsuit against the Dept. of Corrections on Monday in an attempt to spring herself from Rikers before her September 7 hearing, because she’s “suffering greatly.”

Alicia Keys, will finally be debuting her third studio album, “As I Am.” Everyone is going crazy. I’m in love with this track and it reminds me of something that Mary J. Blige would’ve done.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt played host at a dinner party Saturday evening, at a fund raising dinner in the Hamptons to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims. However, before they did so, they took in some of the sights in NYC with the kiddos, as you can see in these pic. Jolie doesn’t play one kid for each arm!

– Amerie – Because, I Love It, has been pushed back. Ask Billboard reported this devastating but predictable news. All I can do and say is wow!!! It wouldn’t shock me if she releases another project. I’m starting to feel really bad for her. Because, labels are dropping chicks and replacing them like that!

Though Amerie’s album “Because I Love It” has been released outside of the U.S., its American release is still pending. It’s not currently on Columbia Records’ release schedule, though the label is aiming to issue it early next year.

“Because I Love It” peaked at No. 17 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart and at No. 56 on Billboard’s Euro Albums Chart. The set’s first single, “Take Control,” topped out at No. 10 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. On the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, it hit No. 66 in December 2006.

Her last U.S. album, 2005’s “Touch,” debuted and peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 400,000 in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Renowned director John Singleton was involved in a fatal accident in Los Angeles which killed a woman. Last Thursday, Singleton was driving west on Jefferson Boulevard near 5th Avenue when his Lexus SUV hit a 57-year-old woman.

“Singleton was driving his 2001 Lexus SUV around 8:00 PM on a Los Angeles street, when a female pedestrian, not in a crosswalk, suddenly stepped in front of Singleton’s car. Police say Singleton immediately stopped and waited for police and an ambulance to arrive. The 57-year-old woman, identified as Constance Russell of Los Angeles, was taken to a nearby hospital where she died Friday morning.”

A preliminary police investigation concluded that Singleton had not been speeding and was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
