Nikki Jean is everything. I can honestly say she brighten my day. Nikki Jean has been donating tons of her time and money to help the homeless in Philadelphia. I couldn’t think of a more noble thing to do. I was rather impressed with all her videos on her personal myspace page and her website. Nikki Jean has went out her way to grab celebrities attention from Lupe Fiasco, Common, Floetry, QuestLove etc to support the cause. Nikki Jean is today’s hero.

Last night, 60 Minutes touched on the topic of snitching in the African-American community. Cam’Ron was interviewed during this segment. In this interview, he was asked if a serial killer lived next door to him, would he snitch….And Cam’Ron said,
“No. I wouldn’t call or tell anybody about him. I’d probably move. But I wouldn’t call anybody…”
Hmmm…I mean, I guess I can see why people don’t snitch…Cam says it’ll kill his street credibility and album sales…But if you ask me, I think it’s simply a fear for one’s life….What would you do if you witnessed someone being killed or shot? Would you SNITCH?!? (source)

Pop superstar Justin Timberlake was “almost in tears” when R.E.M. frontman Michael Stipe praised his hit single, “Cry Me a River.” The SexyBack singer says Stipe showed his appreciation for the track days before the Brit awards in 2003. He says, “I knew that song was serious when I was on a plane going to London.” “Michael Stipe came up to me and said, Cry Me a River was one of the most exciting, well-written songs he’d heard in the past five years. I was almost in tears,” said Timberlake.

Fergie, born Stacy Ann Ferguson, has thanked her adopted name for giving her a post-addiction identity. When the Glamorous singer sought help to overcome her addiction years ago to illegal narcotic crystal meth, she adopted the name Fergie, which harks back to her Scottish roots, as inspiration.
Ferguson says, “The name Fergie derives from my Scottish surname and came about when I was recovering from a drug addiction and I felt I needed a new start. “I feel a strong affiliation with my Scottish ancestry and have incorporated tartan patterns and our family crest into my album cover and video.”
