Corey Feldman wasn’t on hand to pay respect to his good friend, Corey Haim, as he was laid to rest Tuesday. But, he was remembering him in his own special way at an L.A. area tattoo parlor.
The actor got the symbolic number ‘222’ inked on his arm alongside an elaborate illustration depicting a hot air balloon being lifted into the clouds featuring the name of his son, Zen. The basket portion of the hot air balloon tattoo was a peace sign, which Feldman converted from a tattoo of ex-wife’s name.

“It was a cover-up,” he told Splash News.
“I’ve attached some strings to it,” he said. “The basket’s got my son’s name in it. And then I’m putting his eyes underneath it, so it’s kind of like his eyes are lifting up the basket which is going into the clouds.”
The number, which he had inked on the left side of the balloon and cloud scene, represented Haim, who also had that number tattooed on his body, Feldman explained.
“On the day of his funeral I felt like I should mark him on my body forever,” he said. “Now we’re matching.”
Haim, 38, died last Wednesday (March 10) morning. The former teen star was found unresponsive at his mother’s Burbank-area apartment. L.A. County Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter says the official cause of death for the actor, who had a long history of substance-abuse problems, was inconclusive pending an autopsy and toxicology tests. Winter said the LAPD believes Haim may have died from a possible accidental overdose. An autopsy was to be performed the following Thursday, as reported by People.com.
Haim rose to stardom in the 80s after starring in several teen films, including “The Lost Boys,” “Lucas and License to Drive.” Most notably, he collaborated numerous times with Corey Feldman, and the pair was dubbed “The Two Coreys.” More recently, they starred in an A&E reality show with that name from 2007 to 2008.
