– Amerie – Because, I Love It, has been pushed back. Ask Billboard reported this devastating but predictable news. All I can do and say is wow!!! It wouldn’t shock me if she releases another project. I’m starting to feel really bad for her. Because, labels are dropping chicks and replacing them like that!
Though Amerie’s album “Because I Love It” has been released outside of the U.S., its American release is still pending. It’s not currently on Columbia Records’ release schedule, though the label is aiming to issue it early next year.
“Because I Love It” peaked at No. 17 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart and at No. 56 on Billboard’s Euro Albums Chart. The set’s first single, “Take Control,” topped out at No. 10 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart. On the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, it hit No. 66 in December 2006.
Her last U.S. album, 2005’s “Touch,” debuted and peaked at No. 5 on The Billboard 200 and has sold 400,000 in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I don't know.. maybe this isn't really true but we'll see...
And it's not really good idea to push the album back because rnb chicks like Mariah Carey, Keyshia Cole, Brandy etc. are gonna be released soon and they will only make things harder for Ame. 
They should've released That's What You Are already but I don't know why they didn't yet.

. This album is a 9/10 and should have been released already. I heard its goin to be released November and there may be either 4 remixed tracks or new tracks.
Anyone heard the "Thats What You Are" remix it has Fabolous and Slim Thug on it. Its good but Slim seems outta place

I'm hoping for new tracks instead of remixes because all the songs(except"Some Like It") are already fine.
I really like Amerie and she is not getting the credit she deserves.....In my opinion I think B stole A's sound because A owns the GoGo thing
I am not suprised she needs better material. I understand she was going for a vibe but this just isn't gonna cut it in the states. The project should be scrapped and she should hit that studio up ASAP.

I am proud of Amerie for not "Cutting any shorts" to make it to the top. The music industry is for women who are willing to do anything. She has a great voice and will be able to accrue her own record label soon, buy a studio and not have to deal with these clowns. If the pattern continues with certain music labels, female artists are going to have formulate a sexist petition. Give the women her album deal and stop playing around. Her album is solid and will fly. She also needs a make-over. Sometimes less is best. Put talent first or folks won't respect you.

"1 Thing" was a banger and if that song didn't do much for her career, then I'm not sure what the hope is with this album. I listened to all for songs and did not feel the need to jump out of my skin with excitement like "1 Thing" made me do. Maybe she's going in a different direction for a different audience??? As far as her record sales go...I think all she needs is some high profile relationship buzz and a newly acquired divalicious attitude and feminine aggressiveness. It seems to work for Beyonce!!!

Amerie always tends to have maybe 2 good singles on each album and thts it...the rest empty ballads. Wat disturbs me is that she has neevr had a GOLD album. That is 500,000. You never hear of an artist selling less than Platinum. Artists get dropped for selling Gold all the time. Mariah Carey was dropped for selling Glitter which went Platinum. Toni Braxton sold 500k and her prospects are not lookiong so well...I would like to see her check out some better producers before she does herself in...She has the talent, it just needs to be molded.
